JETRO Japan at Home campaign

By working with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), doq® contributes to supporting the Japanese food industry in Australia affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and encouraging the demand for Japanese food and products.

Overview

doq® executed the ‘Japan at Home’ campaign, promoting Japanese restaurants, retailers and products. This campaign encourages Australians to learn about and enjoy Japanese food at home as one of the new normal habits to emerge during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

By collaborating with food delivery service Deliveroo, doq® aims to support Japanese restaurants and retailers who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. doq® assists in the promotion funded by JETRO, including funding commission fees, Deliveroo promotions and distributing sample gifts of Japanese food and ingredients to consumers. These efforts are aimed to encourage people to try a variety of Japanese products and develop a stronger affinity with Japanese cuisine.

By launching the Facebook page ‘Japan at Home’, doq® has utilised social media to cultivate interest and understanding of Japanese food products in Australia. The content has been tailor-made to educate consumers on Japanese condiments and ingredients, teach Japanese recipes and provide information about Japanese foods. There are also targeted posts introducing Japanese Food and Ingredient Supporter stores in each state to encourage local purchases.
